Decking the Halls… in November

We’re all about giving each holiday its own appropriate amount of time to be celebrated, but with Thanksgiving falling so late this year, we couldn’t help but let a little bit of Christmas magic sneak in early. To be honest, it was a fun challenge to find ways for the two holidays to exist simultaneously, like building fall leaf wreaths while listening to Christmas music.

Once we were ready to dive in to all things Christmas, we marked the transition by decorating the tree! We surprised the kiddos with their first set of matching jammies for the season, blasted the Christmas music, and hung the ornaments. It was the perfect night!

All cozy in their adorable new jammies!
Oh, the excitement on their sweet little faces when we first turned on the tree lights!!!
Cole rushed over to the tree and exclaimed, “check a ear” and tried to shine a light into his own ear. Poor dude is way too familiar with ear infections!
Daddo helping Cole with his ornament hanging skills… not to say there is anything really wrong with just stuffing them into open spaces between the branches.
With Safa there are no silent nights!

Cole showing “Char-ye Bar-ye” the Christmas tree may now be one of my all time favorite holiday memories. I’m not sure which one of them I’ve had to chase out of the tree more this season! A little spray from the water bottle works effectively for both!
