Summer, Summarized

In the spirit of simplifying posts (so that I can justify moving forward in my own head without feeling like 7 months of our lives were missing) I thought I’d compile photo highlights of our wonderful whirlwind summer at home…

Reunited with our niece, Morgan, and meeting our new niece, Amelia. Here we are celebrating Nana and Papa’s 35th anniversary!

Lots of fun outlet shopping… I had to practice GREAT restraint as we had 2 baby showers to look forward to. Still, I  couldn’t resist picking up a few items that were too perfect for words, like this awesome aqua onesie. Cannot wait to see Isla in it next summer!

Finding some time to relax. My dad came for a visit from Houston and loved our anti-gravity chairs (and yes, we’re using our lawn furniture inside the house for now )

Beach baseball fun with Toni and Chad… another great few days with friends! Dubai reunion! Such a great evening catching up with Christine and Heidi. The day Bella’s leash accidentally made it home with Toni and Chad =)

New appliances for the cottage! Naturally, tacos were our first celebratory meal.

Tackling the kitchen cabinet project. It took several days, as well as multiple coats of primer and paint, but the cabinets are now white and oh, so lovely. Our beautiful new matte black hardware is about 1/16 of an inch wider than the old hardware, so several of the upper cabinet doors no longer fit. Argh! Project for next time we’re home? Mmmm, S’mores. Quality time with the nieces =) Celebrating Claire and Jonathan’s wedding at Mt. Hood Organic Farm Beach time with Robin and Neal during their 2nd anniversary trip!

Happy little swimmer! She loved Amelia’s play mat. Isaac rediscovered his love of skim boarding.

Isaac gets some electrician training from Aunt Joanie… apparently he is confusing electricians and plumbers!Celebrating the BEST 7 years of our lives! 7 years later at our wedding site.

Another successful annual beach trip with Robin and Ruthanne… enjoyed lots of Martinelli’s sparkling cider!  ODS dinner. Happy 1st birthday, sweet Liam! Cousins Waverly, Morgan, and Isla! Can’t wait to see them all together at Christmas time =) Favorite view of the summer =)
