New Christmas Jammies!

Every year after we’ve stuffed ourselves with our turkey feast on Thanksgiving, we curl up and fight off our food coma long enough to watch our first annual showing of Home Alone. It’s our Christmas kick-off tradition. Last year I decided to add to the tradition and get us new Christmas jammies, to be opened and worn before movie viewing. You may remember last year’s silk disappointments. Yeah, those didn’t last. I made sure to plan ahead this year, and had super soft flannel jammies made… and they are oh, so snuggly! To complete the ensemble I found these hilarious ugly sweater t-shirts paying homage to Home Alone- perfect!

Thanksgiving is not given as a holiday at our school, so we didn’t celebrate in the traditional sense on the actual day. We attended the Upper School’s Java Jam, a music and art show, and then came home and had a Thanksgiving-inspired breakfast for dinner: pumpkin pie french toast, fried eggs and bacon. Yum! I surprised Isaac with his new jammies, and we curled up and enjoyed (for the gazillionth glorious time) Home Alone. Let the Christmas season begin!
