Chinese breakfast burrito

One thing I absolutely love about living in Asia is the street food. Around every corner in our neighborhood you’ll find food carts hocking a variety of local fare. I’ve found the best carts offer one specialized item, of which they prepare and serve with a flare for the dramatic. On my bike ride home from school each day I pass by a fellow who serves up what’s come to be known as the “Chinese breakfast burrito”. It’s a wrap made with an assortment of spices, herbs, and crispy fried bread bundled inside a crepe-like shell made from corn meal and egg. There are a couple other vendors who serve up this same item, but he’s got the tastiest and most dramatic version in town.
